Review:
This unpretentious presentation of the 17th century French carol captures the awe and mystery of the original hymn. Opening with the melody stated at a slow tempo with unison octaves of handchimes, the central section moves somewhat quicker with full chordal harmonies. The piece closes with seven measures that are reminiscent of the opening section. Arranged in c minor, this score is 47 measures.
