Review:
Optional voices are featured in the selection, making it an effective ensemble selection for the Christmas season. If voices are not available, the piece works just as well for handbells alone. The tempo starts off at a sensitive pace as the text begins: "What name shall we call this tiny little baby?" In the next section, the tempo picks up with the inclusion of the carol "He Is Born." Later, the Shaker tune "Simple Gifts" enters before a return to the opening melody. A separate vocal score is included. This 56-measure piece is arranged in the keys of c minor and Eb Major.
