Scored entirely in F Major with only one simple E4/E6 change, three rousing spirituals each relate their own account of the blessed birth. Clever counterpoint is also a part of the musical fabric, as is an especially effective use of mallets. This 79-measure piece is as much fun to ring as it is to hear.
