Review:
Fred Bock's stirring showpiece on the Doxology (Old Hundredth) is a natural for the bell/organ combination. A dancing triple meter (C major) begins the work, giving way to a more somber quadruple meter (A-flat major) highlighting bells alone. The A section returns, bringing the work to an exciting close. Powerful, yet relatively easy to put together, this piece is 126 measures.
