Review:
The two hymn tunes (
St. Theodulph and
Ellacombe) most closely associated with Our Lord's triumphal entry into Jerusalem are confidently presented in B-flat and C major. Fanfare figures at the introduction, modulation and coda announce the event that begins the Holy Week experience. Use of shakes and martellato lifts contribute to the celebratory nature of the work. Arranged in Bb Major and C Major, measures total 51.
