Review:
Three octaves of optional handchimes play "My Jesus, I Love Thee" in the middle section of this gospel hymn medley. The opening chorus is bold and confident but then relaxes into flowing eighth-note rhythms that accompany the melody, which is played by handchimes in bass. Chromatic bell changes add harmonic interest and provide a challenge for choirs only used to playing level 2 repertoire. This is a good "step-up" piece.
