Review:
This fifth volume in the highly successful "Handbell Hymns" series contains eight settings of hymn tunes appropriate to the Advent and Christmas seasons. Each of the titles requires no more than 22 bells, with scoring that utilizes no subdivision of the beat and no accidentals. The very easy difficulty level coupled with colorful harmonies in highly musical settings make for useful worship and concert offerings that will take but a minimum of rehearsal time to prepare. Titles in this series also offer effective repertoire for handchime choirs.
