Intrada
Winner of the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers 1998 National Composition Contest, Intrada is full of energy and contemplation. Bells begin with an exciting 16th note pattern in 6/8 time. The texture thickens as organ and brass are added. The time changes to 2/2 for the second section and a more flowing, simplified rhythm ensues. However, the texture is always full and returns to the beginning material for a grand flourish ending. Brass ensemble consists of 2 trumpets, Horn, Trombone, Tuba.
