Promised Land
The American folk melody from "The Southern Harmony" tune book of 1835 has been set here for 2-octaves of bells with additional bell assignments included for quintet, sextet and septet. Performance notes also state that it may be performed by 4-or 6-in-hand ensembles without tables. The melody appears in upper and lower registers. The accompaniment includes running, LV eighth-note patterns and chordal figures.
