Carol for Christmas Pilgrims, A
An original anthem for SATB choir, flute, handbells, percussion (cymbal, snare drum, bass drum) and organ. The bells play infrequently on the treble clef. Although they play a syncopated rhythm, it is repeated throughout the score, making it easier to remember. The text begins, "Soft the evening shadows fall, still journey on; darkness soon be over all, still journey on. Weary now, and travel-worn, night must come before the morn: where will Mary's Son be born? still journey on."
