Watchman Tell Us of the Night

The Bell Tree range is 17 bells C5-C7 (opt. D7, Eb7) – and this melodic line can also be played by a 4iH trio or a quartet or any number of ringers. This richly harmonized arrangement of the hymn tune ABERYSTWYTH by Joseph Parry (1841-1903) captures the mystery and majesty of the coming Lord. The hymn text “Jesus, Lover of My Soul” is also commonly paired with this tune and may be used as an alternate title for use throughout the church year or in Spring concerts. Perfect as a call to worship for an Advent service or as a quiet moment in a holiday concert.
