Holy God We Praise Thy Name (Alternate Key)
"Holy God, We Praise Thy Name (Alternate Key)" is an 8-Bell arrangement of the hymn tune GROSSER GOTT utilizing bells E5-F#6. It may be rung with two people playing 4-in-Hand or four people in a small ensemble with 2 bells each. The piece is a moderate tempo with a lightness. The first statement is simple and straightforward, the middle section has the forward motion of eighth notes, and the final section is a fuller embellishment on the melody. All notes are rung and no tables are needed. This arrangement allows a quartet to ring with standard position assignments (most spaces in the left hand and lines in the right hand). An alternate key version is available under the title "Holy God, We Praise Thy Name" that uses bells F5-G6.
