Incorporating a verse of the traditional "O God Our Help in Ages Past," this regal Lloyd Larson anthem beautifully conveys the feeling of a congregational hymn concertato. Strong acclamations of faith alternate and contrast nicely with more legato passages to create a truly moving musical experience that is enhanced by the optional instrumental accompaniment. Instrumentation includes 2 trumpets, optional F horn, trombone, tuba (and/or trombone 2), timpani, glockenspiel, snare drum, suspended cymbal, and keyboard.
