O Come O Come Emmanuel
This powerful and inspiring hymn concertato of the Advent hymn O COME, O COME EMMANUEL is perfect for any Sunday service in Advent or Christmas Eve. All parts are easily accessible. It is so well written that it is awe-inspiring for everyone involved, yet each part is simple in its own way. The handbell part is level 2, the choir is unison except for the chorus and a descant in one verse. The instrumental parts, though splendid additions to the whole, could not be considered difficult. All together this hymn concerto is an amazing experience for everyone. Performed as the closing hymn in the Hymn Festival in the Dallas Seminar 2007, all of the participants, performers and attendees alike, were inspired and excited by this exceptional setting of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel." Please note that the primary difference between the three options is the differences in instrumentation. Set in e minor and f minor, measures total 172.
