This Is My Father's World
19 handbells, ranging from Bb4 to C7 and optional Eb7 and F7, are scored in the treble clef for the solo ringer accompanied by piano. Rolled chords in the piano accompany the beginning, simply stated melody of the hymn tune by Franklin Shepherd. Afterwards the motion picks up with graceful, smooth eighth-note accompaniment. The solo line's most challenging section is a bit of bell accompaniment with wide intervals in eighth-note rhythm, but otherwise this selection should work up quickly.
