Fountainhead
Five to seven full octaves of handbells are required to perform this highly coloristic original composition from the pen of "the Father of Handbells", Don Allured has long been known for vibrant original works and this one is no exception. Open, but full textures move through moderate and adagio passages with dynamic and tempo fluctuations that, when properly executed, express the emotion of the music. The bold, final chord may be doubled on 3-6 octaves of handchimes.
