The composer writes in the preface of this work from unison or mixed voices and keyboard with optional descants, handbell and instrument: Our search for richer inner lives has led to a renewed interest in meditation as a means of opening the heart to receive a deeper sense of God within. The songs in this volume, which set simple statements of faith, are designed to be used in this manner.
