Day by Day
The hymn tune "BLOTT EN DAG" is here arranged for 4 to 6-octaves in a slow, triplet feel. In fact, counting the triplet figure correctly will determine the success of this work as it is used extensively in the accompaniment and the melody. Ringers may also notice the hint of Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" in the first couple of measures. The LV technique is used frequently to smooth out the sound. In the last section marked "Slower, Broader Tempo" the texture thickens into triplet figure chords in the bass with octave melody above. Measures total 39.
