Enatus Est Emmanuel
"Enatus est Emmanuel" appeared as a part song for SATB voices in Michael Praetorius' "Musae Sioniae" of 1609. This charming tune and text serves as the basis for this arrangement for three part-mixed voices and keyboard with optional bells (glockenspiel) and triangle. There are three verses with three distinct phrases of Latin. At the end of each verse is a refrain that is repeated for each verse. The bells range from an F5 to an A6. The ending staccato note marked "clamp" must certainly mean thumb damp or ring touch! 3-pt mixed version is number SV9534.
