Hark a Child is Born
Based on" Puer Nobis Nascitur (Latin Carol) and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing (Mendelssohn)" this arrangement gets off to a "bouncy" start with lots of staccato technique in the melody and accompaniment before settling into a chordal, rung texture. The second section slows in tempo and is marked dolce with lots of the LV technique employed for legato effect. In later sections, mallets on suspended bells are used and other tempo variations are marked.
