Oh for a Thousand Tongues to Sing
A stately introduction moves through different key centers before it establishes an upper register ostinato in 16th notes. The melody in octaves comes in underneath and gives the music a light, airy feel. A chordal section ensues with the chimes playing the melody on top. The next section is marked dolce and again uses the chimes on the melody. The final section is marked maestoso and strong leads to the final fortississimo (fff).
