March of the Kings
Arranger Stephenson writes "This 700 year old tune is a carol from Provence, France". One version of the carol appears in Bizet's "Farandole" from "L'Arlesienne Suite No. 2" and a portion of Bizet's idea is used at the end of this arrangement. A full page of other performance notes and technical advice follows. Light, flowing texture and chordal accompaniment are both found in this selection along with a march passage that uses mallets on tabled bells in the bass.
