Rondo (First movement of
This original composition was commissioned by the Concert Handbell Ringers of the Wheeler School. It is the first movement from a larger work, "Suite for Bronze." Bright and cheerful, the music clips along at quarter note = 120. The sixteenth-note dominated melody is found most often in the upper register and in octaves. However, all the ringers are kept busy as they move from D Major to B Major and back to D. A few special techniques are required, but normal ringing is the rule.
