Like a River Glorious
The river Wye borders Wales and England and is truly a "glorious" river valley; it is easy to imagine how this river inspired this favorite hymn tune. Beginning ringers, who are tired of whole and half note chords with a bit of melody on top will think this arrangement "glorious!" Though very simple in rhythms (there's not an eighth note in the lot), there is an introductions, varying texture, short interludes and sufficient dynamics to make this sound like a "grown-up" piece.
