Carol of the Birds
The Christmas anthem, based on a French Carol, is for SATB choir, keyboard and optional handbells. A separate bell score is available. The bells ring generally easy rhythms. The text begins, "Whence comes the rush of wings afar Following straight the Noel star? Birds from the woods in wondrous flight, Bethlehem seek this holy night."
