Here's One
A soulful spiritual journey, “Here’s One - 1” wraps the listener in a warm embrace of reverence and calm assurance – for 3-5 oct. L3+ (with opt. C5-C7 Bell Tree (Med. Diff.) or C/Bb instrument). Kath Wissinger’s light but masterful touch of bluesy jazz will delight ringers and audience alike. Rich tonalities of Bb minor (5 flats) and C minor (3 flats) and a slow, steady tempo enhance light swing eighth notes and a few straight-rhythm measures. The optional part adds a counter-melody and more depth. Originally commissioned by Wilson Van Tine as a Bell Tree solo in support of Handbell Musicians of America, “Here’s One” works beautifully for expanded Copper and Bronze ensembles as well.
