Antiphonal Flourish
This piece is for 2 handbell choirs. Choir I is scored for 2 octaves and Choir II for 4 octaves. Originally written for the 1981 Three Rivers Handbell Festival in Indiana, it can be played in either a church or a secular (concert) setting. The parts for both choirs are included in the music. "Antiphonal Flourish" can be described as joyful and exciting. Its dynamic level is generally metzo forte or greater, with a softer minor middle section. This work is 72 measures with a coda section.
