Life of Trees
This music came to mind as I was working on the family tree one day. It dawned on me that life, so much like the music we play, has a beginning and an end. For trees, like our lives, the leaves that are left behind cover the ground and remind us of seasons and generations past. The piece emotes our birth, our youth, our middle age, and our old age. The heartbeat of life is apparent in the piece (m. 10). It is not always in step or necessarily in tune with the life that is going on around it, but it drives us forward to the finale. The arrangement ends with the heart beat sounding the (our) final note. 67 measures.
