Chanson Joyeuse (Song of Joy)
This spirited original composition is written in ABACA form. Tempo changes, accidentals, plucking, swings, and martellato lifts in the A sections will challenge bass ringers, while treble ringers will enjoy fast-paced eighth notes in alternating 4/4 and 6/8 meters. Modulating into A minor, the B section features a slower, poignant melody accompanied by treble-bell chimes and echoes in the bass. The third section introduces yet another melody as it modulates to A flat major.
