Fanfare for the Faithful
"Fanfare for the Faithful" is intended for any celebration. It's mostly repeated ringing and features 16th notes. The joyous and celebratory nature of the piece stays in the same key (Bb Major) throughout. Each ringer stays busy, and this piece will have the congregation sitting on the edge of their seats. The SATB choir enters a Capella and remains unaccompanied for six measures. At that point the handbell choir joins in (or at the director's option can remain out). The organ later appears accompanying the handbell choir and as a solo instrument. 50 measures in length, it would work well for an introit, the Easter season, or as a general anthem. Careful rehearsals will help to work out the syncopated rhythms. Enjoy this happy piece!
