Ring the Bells of Christmas
Bells of the Lakes is an auditioned community handbell ensemble based in the Twin Cities. They are from as far apart as Plymouth, Burnsville, and Hastings. Individually, they serve churches and schools as ringers, singers, organists, and conductors, some professionally, others as volunteers. In their seven years of existence, they have built a reputation as one of the premiere handbell ensembles in the country, noted especially for playing a wide variety of repertoire with passion and musicality. Their Musical Director is William H. Mathis, Minister of Music and Fine Arts at Hennepin Ave. United Methodist Church in Minneapolis. He is a handbell and choral clinician, conduction festivals and workshops across the country.
