Season of Wonder
The Capital City Ringers, a community handbell ensemble from Lansing, Michigan, was founded by Jane C. Wright in 1984. Their fifteen to twenty concerts a year take them to many parts of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and beyond. In 1991, they performed for four days at Disney World and Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida. During the Christmas 1999 and 2000 seasons, they were the first handbell ensemble to perform in concert with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra at the annual Jingle Bell Pops at Michigan State University's Wharton Center for Performing Arts. The Capital City Ringers are known for their musical expression and dynamic interpretation of the music they play. They often add instrumental parts to musically enhance the selections they play.
