Review:
"Continuous" and "uninterrupted" are two of the synonyms given "Perpetual". They definitely describe the drive and energy of this exhilarating original composition. The tempo is vivace with a half note at 90. The movement of the constant eighth note patterns is shared by both bass and treble handbells. A beguiling melody is introduced in measure 13. A transitory development mid-section makes use of the Singing Bell technique for the accompaniment, providing a brief respite from the otherwise continual exuberance and verve of the composition. William Aprile's composition is written in C Major and is 134 fast measures.
