Review:
"Feisty" is the best adjective to describe this setting of the favorite hymn tune. Normally in 3/4 meter, here it is placed in 6/8 resulting in a bouncy rhythm, which pulses right along. Later, a passage of mallets on tabled bells joins in the fun! The final section is fully scored and includes martellato-lifts as ending punctuation marks.
