Hark I Hear the Harps Eternal

Review:      INVITATION (NEW) is the traditional American tune this arrangement is based upon. The tune resembles other early American melodies, such as those found in the Sacred Harp. The character marking asks for a "joyful bounce" and the pluck/mallet or thumb damp technique helps to accomplish this. The tune itself is characterized by dotted rhythms and sixteenth note motives. The texture remains light and airy until the full finish and then everybody rings! 70 measures.
