Review:
Three octaves of chimes combine with a full five octaves of handbells to present the early American melody from Virginia Harmony. The chimes play a countermelody to the tune in the middle register about 3/4 of the way into the piece. Several key changes advance the musical interest toward a slow, reflective ending passage that ends in measure 128. It is scored in the keys of F Major, E Major, B Major, and C Major.
