Review:
The hymn tune, GROSSER GOTT, is the basis of this arrangement for bells, keyboard and optional brass and woodwind instruments. The setting is the successful Linker/McFadden formula of fully scoring bells and accompaniment together for the majority of the work, but with a section that showcases the bell choir alone. This piece is very accessible level II literature, and is a great way to involve novice ringers in a larger work. Woodwind quintet consists of Flute, Oboe, Bb Clarinet, F Horn, Basoon. Brass quintet consists of two Trumpets, Horn in F, Trombone, and Tuba. Also arranged for 2 to 3-octave MAG23020, same key.
