Review:
Through the use of martellato and the martellato-lift techniques, a feeling of "solidness" is built up in the introduction and later in the interlude of this setting of the old gospel hymn. The dotted-rhthm melody appears in treble and bass registers and to imitative textures. A full, strong chord ends the piece.
