Lo How Soft the Light

Review:      "Lo how soft the light in the mystery of evening, at the promise of the dawn," so begins the text of this anthem for two equal voices and two handbell ringers. The bells ring in dotted half-note rhythm for most of the work. There is some syncopation and eighth-note movement from an inscription carved in the oak screen of the Good Shepherd Chapel, Washington National cathedral.
