Review:
A light, almost mischievous accompaniment, studded with staccatos, is combined with the minor melody on the hymn tune. The ringers or director has a choice as to how to play the staccatos - mallet, pluck or thumb damp - as long as precision is sought. Performance notes and a copy of the last verse from the hymn text by James Russel Lowell is included.
