Beethoven's Ode to Joy is here set with a lilting, 6/8 introduction which includes bells, brass, percussion and keyboard. The bells ring throughout the better part of the work and the score requires no special techniques to allow the pure rung sound of bells to permeate the texture. Brass ensemble consists of three Trumpets, Optional French Horn, Trombone, Bass Trombone, Percussion.
