Review:
The master of melody and harmony once again offers an original composition with deep feeling and a touch of playful spirit. Written in c minor, the piece begins with a plaintive, flowing melody which arrives after some length at a fermata. Then enters a texture that provokes images of a Jewish wedding dance. A flowing texture resumes after this section and takes the listener to the final chord. "Ballade" is 101 measures long.
