Review:
This Gathering Rite song is ideally processional music, and replaces the usual entrance of the mass. There are three movements: Call to Worship, Greeting & Water Blessing and Sprinkling Rite/Gathering Song. The bells accompany the first movement in random ringing, are tacet the second movement and then accompany the third. Two octaves plus an Ab 4 are called for in the bell chart. Brass ensemble consists of 2 trumpets, 2 trombones and timpani.
