Review:
Written for a 20th-year celebration of a bell festival, this arrangement is majestic and bold. The congregation should be stirred singing along to the ceremonious accompaniment of bells, brass, organ and snare drum. The bell part is accessible and fully scored and should work up fairly quickly. Full chordal and arpeggiated texture fills the bell score, with special techniques sprinkled in along the way. Brass ensemble consists of 2 trumpets, 2 trombones (substitute French horn for trombone 1, if necessary) and snare drum.
