Review:
Written in honor of a solo handbell ringer on his graduation with honors from college, this original composition evokes a mood of celebration. Stately, "ceremonial" rhythms highlight this mood as does the light-hearted melody. Ten handchimes are called for ranging from G5-A6 and enter on a restatement of the melody. Chromatic movement freshens the harmony as does the varying techniques in the music.
