Review:
Winner of the Canadian Composition Contest for the Eighth International Handbell Symposium, 1998 in Japan. The opening section has that "far-off" dreamy feel about it - a longing for the shamrock shores and the bards and harps of the emerald isle. The leprechauns appear in the next section with crisp, dotted sixteenth-32nd note rhythms. The final section returns to the dreamy mood and ends with a pianissimo chord and the hint of a far-off bagpipe to boot.
