Review:
This selection is taken from Camille Saint-Saens famous suite
Carnival of the Animals and is arranged for a quartet of handbell ringers, cello, viola and clarinet. The rehearsal notes state that: The "Swan" is designed for a handbell quartet to ring the accompaniment "water" part. The soloist "swan" part may be performed by any one of the following instruments: cello, viola, violin, clarinet, or handchime soloist. A versatile and unique presentation for concert.
