God Rest You Merry Gentlemen

Review:      This traditional English carol may date back to the 16th century and is traditionally associated with the wassailers or waits who make their way from house to house to "bring in the luck." In this arrangement the carol is sung first by a lone street singer, then taken up by a procession of singers and instruments heard first in the distance and gradually coming close, to end in full-hearted celebration. The bells range from E5 to E6 and ring only half and quarter notes with the exception of one dotted half. Brass ensemble consists of 2 trumpets, Horn, Trombone and Tuba.
