Review:
The arranger writes this about her setting for 3-6 octaves with optional snare drum: "The intro imitates the beginning of the march far off in the distance." Then she proceeds to give detailed performance instructions along with some exercise to achieve this information. A new technique is called for called a "flutter" which is a fast vibrato. Details on its execution are included. Snatches of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic" can be heard in the final section.
