Review:
The traditional tune Veni Emmanuel is here set for 3 octaves. The melody appears in the upper bells throughout the piece, while linear, sometimes syncopated accompaniments appear in the lower octaves. Opportunities for dynamic expression exist, but there is no call for special techniques. However, mallets on suspended bells would provide a more mysterious atmosphere.
